Bruce Springsteen - Working on a Dream (2009) Review
in walks the Boss' happiest, most optimistic album to date. at the time of Magic and the Rising, America looked like it was on a downfall 'cause of the Bush administration and 9/11 which is reflected in the music of Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen's albums are a picture of what is going on in the American working class and this album is no acceptation. the album is optimistic due to a change in administration and probably a change for the better in America. highlights of the album include "Working on a Dream", "Queen of the Supermarket" (with it's middle age protagonist dreaming about a young lady cashing him out) and the bonus track, the best song on the album in my own opinion "The Wrestler" from the surprise hit movie of the same name. as for my rating? i give it 9 hungry hearts out of 10 cause, once again, the Boss has done it, making an album you can listen to from beginning to end over and over again.
