Rant #22 - Labels

if there is one thing in this world i am sick of, i am beyond sick of labels! when we are born we are born with the labels of son or daughter and our first label, boy or girl. then we grow into to other labels, child, teenager, parent, adult, grandparent, etc. those are natural labels that we inherent with age but i am talking about the labels that everyone has to put on everyone else to pigeonhole us into some stupid little category to make their lives easier and safer...FUCK THAT! FUCK YOU! FUCK THE LABELS! we all label ourselves with our taste in music or our nationality. fine, but when we try to label ourselves as one thing and be confined to that one label we are placed in is when a problem begins. no one fits into one label! i swear, no one does! i am Italian, so i label myself that but i also carry the label of Napolitanio cause i am from Naples, i am also a Canadian and a Torontionian. other labels i carry is that of a "rocker". i label myself that but because i like Metal, Punk, Alternative, Classic Rock and i also like Reggae, very little Rap, Soul, Funk and the Blues, all genres that have come into contact with other sub genres of Rock. just with one label i am able to define who i am. everyone can define themselves with more than one label but in society, everyone is obsessed with trying to label a person into one thing, that's it, the end all, be all. no questions asked, that's how the world goes and everyone can sleep a little better...WAKE THE FUCK UP CAUSE IT DOESN'T AND IT AIN'T HOW IT WORKS SO GROW THE FUCK UP AND JUST LET PEOPLE BE WHO THEY ARE WITHOUT ALL THE STUPID LABELS YOU PEOPLE ARE FUCK'N OBSESSED WITH...and that's my rant on labels.
